Player Compare 24/25
A football trivia game for Android: two players go head to head and you pick the one with the better stat.
Each round puts two footballers side by side and asks which one is ahead in a stat category — pace, shooting, passing, dribbling, defence or physical. The whole player database ships inside the app in SQLite, so the game runs with no connection at all. It was built in Java on Android Studio with XML layouts, monetised with Google AdMob, and released on Google Play after a beta round with 20 testers on the Play Console, whose feedback shaped several passes of changes before launch.

Core Features
What the game does, and what it took to ship it
Player Statistics Comparison
Two footballers are compared across six categories — pace, shooting, passing, dribbling, defence and physical — with the comparison logic written in Java following OOP principles.
Offline Gameplay with SQLite
Every player and season record sits in a local SQLite database inside the app, so no round waits on the network and the game works with no connection.
Native Android UI
Screens are built natively with XML layouts in Android Studio, which keeps rounds responsive and animations smooth on low-end phones too.
Rewarded Ads with AdMob
Google AdMob carries the monetisation: a rewarded video buys a skipped round or a second chance after a wrong guess, instead of interrupting play.
Beta-Tested, Then Iterated
A closed beta with 20 testers ran on the Play Console before release, and their feedback drove several rounds of changes to the game.
Published on Google Play
End-to-end Play Console experience — store listing, signing, release tracks and updates — all handled solo from first upload to live updates.
Mobile Experience
One round at a time — from the comparison to the game-over screen
Guess the Better Stat
Two footballers open the round with six stat categories between them, all still hidden. Tapping a side commits to the player believed to be ahead, with the running score at the bottom and the ball count at the top.

Instant Feedback
A correct call turns every bar green and pushes the score up, and the pass button becomes Next Round. The comparison is resolved in Java against the season records in SQLite, so the answer comes back without a single network call.

Balls and Rewarded Ads
Every two correct rounds earn a ball, and a ball skips a round that is too close to call. Once they run out, a rewarded Google AdMob video buys the next skip — the reward loop and the monetisation are the same mechanic.

Score, Max Score, Resume
A wrong guess ends the run and puts the score next to the max score kept on the device. From there the game goes back to the main menu, or resumes where it stopped in exchange for watching an ad.
